Ok stop, what kind of madness is this. For a cat to be this trusting can only be the work of the cat distribution system. And not only that, it sounds like some of their best work. For more often than not it is the case that a cat who is found on someone’s property needs copious amounts of time to build trust and worthiness before it decides that it will even get near to a hooman’s home. But this cat put feline protocol aside and seemingly put its faith and paws in the CDS and just went with their hooman recommendation. What a marvel in the cat rescue world.

Ha, it sounds like while this hooman was clever enough not to make the decision to keep this cat on their own, they were not aware enough to see that this cat had come with the intention to stay and nothing else. There is a good chance that if for some reason the wife did not want to keep the cat, it would turn up on their doorstep day after day, fighting to keep the home that it had chosen. So it is lucky that the wife went with the surprise adoption, though with a cat this well behaved and handsome, it is hard to imagine that anyone would have the will power to reject its tenancy application.
